•Unrestored permanent teeth with deep caries in occlusal and proximal surface with extension more than 2/3 dentin in close proximity to the pulp Vital teeth; no history of spontaneous pain; history of mild, dull, and tolerable pain associated with eating and drinking cold and hot drinks The vitality of the teeth before the treatment is determined by cold tests with ethyl chloride, heat by gutta-percha, palpation, percussion, and the absence of any radiological symptoms in periapical radiographs. Pain caused by a cold or heat triggered pulp test should not persist after the stimulus is removed In periapical radiography, there is no evidence of endodontic lesion or calcified pulp with normal lamina dura and periodontal ligaments.

•Restored teeth and in teeth where there are any clinical symptoms and history of spontaneous pain and continued pain caused by a cold or heat and pulp test Endodontic pathological changes in periapical region with lamina dura disruption and periodontal ligament expansion internal or external resorption pulp calcification and in teeth where there is bleeding for more than 3 minutes in the exposure area
