入选标准
- •- Independent-living elderly aged 65-74 years who did not exercise ≥ three times a week.
- •- Body mass index (BMI) ranging between 18.5-22.9 kg/m2.
- •- Standing, walking, and stair climbing independently without gait aid
- •- No neurological conditions such as diagnosed stroke, polio myelopathy, Parkinson’s disease, and peripheral neuropathy of lower extremity.
- •- No musculoskeletal conditions affected to balance ability such as diagnosed hip or knee osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, arthroplasty of lower extremity, rheumatoid arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatic, severe ankle sprain, etc.
- •- No cardiovascular conditions such as diagnosed coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, and uncontrolled hypertension.
- •- Normal visual acuity (corrected with glasses or contact lens; visual acuity > 6/6 using Snellen’s chart for visual acuity testing).
- •- No cognitive impairment (The score Mini-Mental State Examination, Thai version 2002 (MMSE-Thai 2002) for people with uneducated, six years of education or lower, and higher than six years education is > 14/23, > 17/30, and > 22/30, respectively).
- •- Abilities to read and write the Thai sentences (The score of MMSE-Thai 2002, item written command and writing are 1).
排除标准
- •-Having serious conditions or accident during data collecting period that affected to balance or ability to exercise.
- •-Participation in another exercise which adding from the program prior to participate in this study, more than twice a week during data collecting period.
- •-Participation in the exercise program less than 80% of total intensity (< 10 sessions).
- •-Alcohol consumption in the last 24 hours prior to assess the outcomes and exercise.
