- •1) Retrosternal goitre
- •2) Morbid obesity
- •3) Intolerance or contraindication to any medication used in the study
- •4) Inability to understand the study protocol or the pain scale
- •5) Previous thyroid/neck surgery
- •6) Pregnancy
- •7) Chronic use of opioids,corticosteroids or any analgesic drug
