入选标准
- •Adults more than equal to 18 years
- •Histologically confirmed diagnosis of cancer and receiving palliative care for it
- •Patients diagnosed with constipation, as defined in the Study Population section, with
- •symptoms present for at least 2 weeks prior to screening.
- •Estimated life expectancy more than equal to 6 months as estimated by their treating oncologist
- •Performance Status or ECOG less than equal to 2
- •Medically fit to participate in low-intensity physical activity, as determined by the
- •treating physician.
- •Ability to demonstrate the Yoga Intervention appropriately which would be assessed
- •by the Yoga Instructor.
- •Able and willing to provide written informed consent
- •Willing to comply with the yoga intervention and study assessments
排除标准
- •Evidence of mechanical bowel obstruction or complete bowel obstruction.
- •Active symptomatic or bleeding hemorrhoids within the past 4 weeks, or current
- •hemorrhoids likely to worsen with yoga postures or abdominal strain.
- •History or current diagnosis of herniated disc or spinal cord disease.
- •Cognitive impairment or active psychiatric illness that would interfere with providing
- •informed consent or adhering to the study protocol.
- •Recent abdominal surgery (within the past 3 months).
- •Known severe cardiorespiratory or musculoskeletal limitations contraindicating yoga
- •(e.g., NYHA III IV heart failure, unstable angina, advanced COPD [GOLD stage III IV],
- •severe arthritis causing functional limitation, or recent fractures)
- •Participation in yoga classes or similar mind body therapy within the last 3 months.
- •Uncontrolled infection or unstable clinical status as determined by the treating
