•1.Morbid obesity (BMI > 35 kg.m-2).
•2.Patients with severe cardiovascular, liver, and kidney diseases.
•3.Patients with allergies to amide local anaesthetics.
•4.Patients with increased risk of regurgitation and aspiration of gastric content.
•5.Patients with difficult airway or history of maxillofacial and neck surgery.
•6.Patients with history of chronic respiratory disease such as Chronic ObstructivePulmonary disease, chronic coughing or asthma, recent respiratory tract infection or smoking.
•7.Pregnancy.
•The elimination criteria will be as follows: reoperation because of serious adverse events such as bleeding, anaesthesia time more than 3 h, and delayed extubation (more than 1 h without extubation) or transfer to the ICU with the tube.
