入排标准
入选标准
- •1. Patients 30 years or more with chronic periodontitis having probing pocket depth >= 5mm.
- •2. Patients having 20 or more teeth.
- •3. Physician diagnosed type 2 diabetes of more than 3 months duration.
- •4. Currently under the care of a physician for diabetes management.
- •5. No change in diabetes related medications during 3 months prior to enrollment.
- •6. Screening HbA1c values within the range of 6% to 7%.
- •7. No definitive periodontal treatment during 6 months prior to enrollment.
排除标准
- •1.Patients suffering from any known systemic disease other than diabetes like renal disorders, anemia, hyperthyroidism, etc.
- •2.Patients who had a physician visit within the last 30 days because of hyperglycemia or diabetes related complications.
- •3.Chronic or continuous use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs within the preceeding two months.
- •4. Patients under systemic antibiotics, corticosteroids or immunosuppressive drugs.
- •5. Pregnant women or lactating women.
- •6.Subjects who are smokers, tobacco or alcohol users.
