简要总结

  • P (Population): Participants in a clinical nursing training program at a certain university
  • I (Intervention): Theoretical instruction + training using a self-developed virtual simulation platform for emergency response to bioterrorism incidents; intervention duration: 4 weeks
  • C (Comparison): Traditional in-person training (theoretical lectures + practical exercises)
  • O (Outcome): Assessment of nursing staff's biosafety response capabilities using the Clinical Nurse Biosafety Response Scale

详细描述

This study aims to validate the effectiveness of a virtual simulation training system for emergency response to bioterrorism incidents in enhancing the biosafety response capabilities of clinical nursing staff. An asynchronous controlled trial was conducted, utilizing two consecutive training sessions for clinical nursing staff at a university; participants in the first session were assigned to the control group, while those in the second session were assigned to the intervention group. The control group received traditional in-person training (combining theoretical instruction with practical exercises), while the intervention group underwent training that combined theoretical instruction with the virtual simulation training platform developed for this study. The intervention duration was 4 weeks for both groups, and assessments were conducted before and after the intervention using the Clinical Nurse Biosafety Response Scale.

结局指标

主要结局

Biosafety incident response competence

时间窗: From enrollment to the completion of the four-week training.

The training effect among nurses was evaluated using the self-developed biosecurity incident response competence scale of our research group, which covers four dimensions: biosecurity incident monitoring and early-warning competence, nursing management competence for biosecurity incidents, biosecurity knowledge readiness, and biosecurity infection-protection competence.
