•1. Angleâ??s class I & II malocclusion that requires segmental maxillary canine retraction
•2. There should be no intra- arch canine interference
•3. Canine mesial Angulation 11degrees +/- 10 degrees.
•4. Eruption of all permanent teeth in the both arch.
•5. Absence of congenital missing of any permanent teeth except third molar.
•6. Third molar might be missing/fully erupted/partially erupted/impacted.
•7. Patients who needs extraction of either all first 1st premolars or only upper 1st premolars for therapeutic purpose.
•8. Absence of aberrant morphology of roots.
•9. Absence of craniofacial malformation.
•10. Absence of any supernumerary/supplementary teeth.

•1. History of facial/dental trauma.
•2. Root canal treated maxillary canine.
•3. Crown and bridge in the upper anterior teeth.
•4. Ectopically erupted canine.
•5. Systemic disease that requires regular monitoring and medicine intake.
•6. Presence of periodontitis.
•7. Deleterious oral Habits.
•8. Pregnant and lactating women
•9. Patients who are currently taking or recently taken NSAIDâ??S, Ibandronates, vitamin D, Relaxin, Calcium, PTH, Progesterone, Insulin, Estrogen, Prostaglandins and Corticosteroids.
•10. Patients under medication for hormonal disorders.
•11. No history of use of analgesics within the last 3 days before the procedure.
•12. Patients with known allergic to nickel.
