- •Adults planned for elective unilateral total knee arthroplasty.
- •Patients providing written informed consent
排除标准
- •Patients with previous lower limb surgery, inflammatory arthritis, contraindications to regional anaesthesia, known gastroesophageal reflux disease or gastric emptying disorders, autonomic neuropathy, cognitive disorders MMSE less than 24, and HbA1c more than 8 percent within 2 months of surgery, BMI more than 35
- •Patients on insulin therapy
- •Patients unwilling for participation in the study or not giving consent for this study
