入排标准
入选标准
- •1.Age more than 18 years
- •2.Patients willing for participation in the study.
- •3.All patients presenting in emergency with secondary peritonitis on clinical examination and radiological investigations.
排除标准
- •1.Patients operated outside GMCH and later referred to the centre.
- •2.Patients with other causes of raised procalcitonin levels which include chronic renal disease, neuro-endocrine tumours, heat stroke, Kawasaki disease, graft vs host disease, following granulocyte transfusions, treatment with interleukin-2 and carcinoid syndrome.
- •3.Patients with other causes of peritonitis which includes spontaneous bacterial peritonitis and tertiary peritonitis.
