简要总结
Vitiligo or leucoderma is one such clinicaldermatological condition which has been analogues with Shwitra in Ayurvedic literature which is responsible for majorcosmetic concern in population. Although Shwitradon’t produces pain, ulcer or discomfort, but eventually creates an inferioritycomplex in individuals, ending up in disturbed social, personnel, psychologicaland educational life and considered as social stigma.
The present study has been planned to provide an effective, costeffective, easy treatment for vitiligo by using Ayurvedic principle as humanpopulation especially children is suffering from Shwitra on a large scale and incidences are rising day by day.
Presentstudy has been designed to study the role of Sanshodhana Karma followed by PooteekadiLepa, externally, over the discolored patches in children with subsequentexposure to sunlight. Pooteekadi Lepa has been quoted in the classics for managementof Shwitra and same on been selectedin the present study.

入选标准
- •Patients of either sex between age group of 05-15 years.
- •Children diagnosed as leucoderma or Vitiligo as per contemporary medical sciences or Shwitra as per clinical features mentioned in Ayurvedic texts.
排除标准
- •Children below 05 and above 15 years of age.
- •Children with Albinism will be excluded.
- •White anesthetic spots, which are characteristic of leprosy.
- •Old refractory cases not responding after extensive use of modern medicine.
- •Patches in genital area, lip area are excluded from the study.
- •Vitiligo patches complicated by eczema.
