- •Patients with moderate periodontitis (patient group)
- •No history of periodontal disease (control group)

- •Systemic conditions such as respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, HIV, chemotherapy, pregnancy or nursing
- •Antibiotic therapy, medication intake in the past 6 months,
- •Infectious diseases and any sign/symptom of infection.
- •Periodontal treatment in the past 6 months
