- •Capacity to consent and informed consent given.
- •Females undergoing elective Caesarean section at Redlands Hospital
- •First Patient on elective Caesarean Section List.
- •Will have consumed 400mls of preop carbohydrate drink at 6am.
- •Will undergo ultrasonographic scanning at a time from 8.00 and 8.30 am.
排除标准
- •Refusal to consent
- •Prior oesophageal of gastric surgery
- •Has vomited or failed to consume the prescribed preop drink.
