Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • ESRD patients who receiving regular hemodialysis treatment
  • American Society of Anesthesiologist Physical Status (ASA) Classification III
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) \<40 kg/m2
  • Undergoing elective surgery

Exclusion Criteria

  • Abnormal anatomy of the upper gastrointestinal tract eg. tracheoesophageal fistula, esophageal atresia, esophageal duplications or hiatal hernia
  • Previous esophagus, stomach and upper abdomen surgery eg. gastric bypass, esophagectomy or gastrectomy
  • Gastrointestinal tract obstruction eg. gastric outlet obstruction or duodenal obstruction
  • Intraabdominal infection or inflammation eg. cholangitis, cholecystitis or pancreatitis
  • During total parenteral nutrition feeding
