•Children aged approximately 2–10 years who present with early childhood caries and have at least one pair of comparable carious lesions (cavitated or non-cavitated) on contralateral teeth within the same arch will be invited to participate. Selected teeth must be asymptomatic or exhibit mild, reversible pulpal symptoms (e.g., non-lingering sensitivity to stimuli) with no clinical or radiographic signs of pulpal or periapical pathology. Participants must be able to attend follow-up appointments, and informed consent must be provided by a parent or guardian.

•Participants will be excluded if they have known allergies or sensitivities to silver, fluoride, potassium, iodine, or related compounds. Additional exclusion criteria include teeth with signs of irreversible pulpitis, abscess, sinus tract, or periapical pathology; participants who have received antibiotics recently; those with medical or behavioural conditions that would preclude safe participation or cooperation; and those who are unable to comply with study procedures or follow-up visits.
