- •hemiparesis from a single stroke occurring at least six months before
- •Medical Research Council scale (shoulder) = 3
- •Modified Ashworth Scale Score < 3
- •Korea-Mini-Mental State Examination score = 17

- •participation in other studies or rehabilitation programs
- •shoulder subluxation or pain in the upper limb
- •uncontrolled hypertension
- •contracture with elbow joint
- •Visual field defect
