- •Inclusion criteria included the patients aged 20-80 years, diagnosis of diabetes based on the physician's diagnosis based on the patients’ medical file, having a history of diabetic foot ulcer, or risk factors for diabetic foot such as sensory or motor neuropathy, or both, having some degree of ulcer in active foot that does not require amputation according to the physician's diagnosis, lack of history of amputation, lack of using immunosuppressive drugs such as corticosteroids, having the skill of reading and writing in the patient or one of the close family members, lack of education in medical sciences, lack of previous experience of formal training on ulcer care, appropriate mental and psychological conditions, possibility of phone calls and having a skill of working with mobile phone to watch educational videos.

- •The exclusion criterion included dissatisfaction with continuing research and amputation.
