Comparison of Functional Outcomes between Hip Hemiarthroplasty and Total Hip Arthroplasty in Patients with Traumatic Hip Surgeries.

Thus is an Observational (Cross-Sectional) Study. Previously, there have been many studies that have assessed hip abductor strength in hip replacement surgeries. But we did not come across a study which compares functional outcomes i.e. unilateral stance Time and MHHS between Total Hip Arthroplasty and Hip Hemiarthroplasty patients at 6 weeks post-surgery. Hence, in this study, we determined to compare functional outcomes between Total Hip Arthroplasty and Hip Hemiarthroplasty patients at 6 weeks post-surgery. The subject with hip hemiarthroplasty and total hip arthroplasty that are coming at 6 weeks to Dhiraj General Hospital will be approached. They will be explained about the study and those who are willing to participate will be requested to sign an informed consent form. After receiving the consent, the participant information sheet will be given to them. The participants will be screened and assessed and those fulfilling the inclusion criteria will be recruited for the study. Following this, the participant will be asked to perform unilateral stance and the time will be noted. This will be followed by administration of Modified Harris Hip score.
