•1. Patients with acute diarrhea who have a loose stool at least three times per day or a mucus stool at least one time per day or a watery stool at least one time per day. Patients may also have nausea or vomit predominantly.
•2. Present with the following symptoms: slightly fatigued, regular pulse, normal blood pressure, no sunken eyes, and capillary refill time less than 2 seconds.
•3. Age between 20-60 years old
•4. No fever
•5. No blood in stool
•6. Consent to take part in the study

•1. Allergic to one of the three herbal formulas or the ingredients used in these formulas.
•2. Previously received antibiotics or other medications for diarrhea.
•3. Regularly taking anticoagulants or antiplatelets.
•4. Being pregnant or planning to get pregnant at the time of the study.
•5. Having one of these health conditions related to liver, renal, heart, diabetes, hypertension, and HIV.
•6. Taking immunosuppressant.
•7. Taking any medications which induce diarrhea, such as laxatives.
