入排标准
入选标准
- •1. All adult patients ( >18 years) who will receive invasive mechanical ventilation through endotracheal tube/tracheostomy tube for hypoxemic respiratory failure.
排除标准
- •1. Age less than 18years.
- •2. If patient received MV >48 hours in last 6 months.
- •3. Patients will not be re-recruited.
- •4. Duration of MV < 3 days.
- •5. Profound neurological deficit leading to sleep apnea.
- •Psychiatric, agitated or non-cooperative patients.
- •Patients with ascites.
- •Post – thoracotomy patients with suspected phrenic nerve palsy.
- •Those not giving consent.
