入选标准
- •Inclusion Criteria (Adolescent mothers)
- •Thai pregnant women age 10-19 years old
- •First time mothers or first baby
- •Normal breasts and nipples
- •Having a good relationship with grandmothers
- •Husband and grandmother have a good relationship.
- •Used the service of antenatal care, delivery and well child care at Banmi and Inburi hospital
- •They have a telephone.
- •Willing to participate in this research
- •Exclusion Criteria
- •Premature delivery
- •They have any disease or contraindication such as
- •Infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
- •Taking antiretroviral medications
- •Infected with human T-cell lymphotropic virus type I or type II
- •Untreated, active tuberculosis
- •Using or is dependent upon an illicit drug
- •Taking prescribed cancer chemotherapy agents, such as antimetabolites that interfere with DNA replication and cell division
- •Undergoing radiation therapies; however, such nuclear medicine therapies require only a temporary interruption in breastfeeding
- •Herpes simplex lesion on breast or nipple
- •Having chickenpox and blisters on skin
- •Hypertionsive disorder in pregnancy
- •They have complications after delivery which might pose as potential obstacles to breastfeeding for example : having a fever over 38 ℃ two time a day.
- •They can not participate in the program throughout the study period.
- •Inclusion Criteria (Infants)
- •The APGAR scores at 5th minute were equal to 7 points or higher.
- •Birth weight between 2,500 - 4,000 grams.
排除标准
- •Exclusion Criteria
- •1.Having problems with sucking such as cleft lip and cleft palate and severe tongue-tie
- •2.Having contraindications to breastfeeding such as
- •-Diagnosed with galactosemia
- •-Lysinuric protein intolerance
- •-Phenylketonuria (PKU)
- •-Severe jaundice
- •3.They can not participate in the program throughout the study period.
- •Inclusion Criteria (grandmothers)
- •1.Thai women age 35-60 years old
- •2.They lived in the same house with adolescent mothers or nearby.
- •3.They have the experience in taking care of infants.
- •4.Willing to participate in this research
- •Exclusion Criteria
- •1.The grandmothers have a disease such as active tuberculosis and scabies.
- •2.The grandmothers can not participate in the program throughout the study period.
