Broad Global Approval and Indications
Cresemba is currently approved and marketed in more than 70 countries, including the United States, most EU member states, and additional countries across Europe and beyond. The drug has secured orphan drug designation in the US, European Union, UK, and other countries for its approved indications.
In the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and the United Kingdom, intravenous isavuconazole is approved for patients from one year of age for treating invasive aspergillosis and mucormycosis in patients for whom amphotericin B is inappropriate. The oral capsule formulation is approved for adults and pediatric patients six years of age and older who weigh 16 kg or more.

Cresemba, containing the active ingredient isavuconazole, is available as both an intravenous and oral azole antifungal medication.
