Strategic Partnerships Drive Global Expansion
The exclusive licensing agreement with Orient EuroPharma (搜索) (TWO: 4120), a leading multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Taiwan, grants the company rights to seek regulatory approval and commercialize GMRx2 across Southeast Asia. Under the terms announced in February 2026, George Medicines (搜索) will receive an upfront licensing fee, regulatory and commercial milestone payments, and stepped royalties on future sales.

The second partnership with Arrotex Pharmaceuticals (搜索), Australia's largest supplier of medicines by prescription volume, extends GMRx2's reach to Australia and New Zealand. This agreement, announced in March 2026, follows a similar structure with upfront fees, commercial milestones, and tiered royalty rates on sales in the licensed territories.
Addressing Critical Unmet Medical Need
GMRx2 represents a significant advancement in hypertension (搜索) management, combining three established antihypertensive medications—telmisartan (an angiotensin II receptor (搜索) blocker), amlodipine (a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker), and indapamide (a thiazide-like diuretic)—in a single pill. The therapy is available in three dosage forms: 10/1.25/0.625 mg, 20/2.5/1.25 mg, and 40/5/2.5 mg, including two doses that are lower than those currently available in single pill combinations.
The clinical need for improved hypertension (搜索) management is substantial across the target markets. In Australia, approximately 6.8 million adults (one in three) live with high blood pressure, with only half aware of their condition and receiving treatment. More than a million diagnosed and treated patients do not achieve effective blood pressure control. New Zealand faces similar challenges, with 31% prevalence (968,000 adults) and only around a quarter achieving effective control.
Robust Clinical Evidence Supports Efficacy
GMRx2's development is supported by a comprehensive clinical program, including two pivotal Phase III studies published in 2024 in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and The Lancet. In these trials, the triple combination demonstrated significantly reduced blood pressure and improved blood pressure control rates when compared against dual therapy and placebo. Importantly, tolerability was good in both trials, with no increase in withdrawal from treatment due to adverse events.
The drug was also investigated in the Nigerian VERONICA trial, which compared the triple combination with standard of care and reported better blood pressure lowering among those receiving GMRx2, with good tolerability compared to the standard of care protocol.
A global trial investigating GMRx2's potential for stroke (搜索) prevention in patients who have had intracerebral hemorrhage (搜索) completed in 2025, meeting its primary endpoint with a statistically significant and clinically meaningful reduction of recurrent stroke compared to matching placebo.
Multi-Mechanism Approach Enables Early Triple Therapy
The innovation behind GMRx2 lies in its multi-mechanism approach and available doses, formulated to deliver the blood pressure-lowering benefits of triple combination therapy early in the treatment pathway.
