Janux Therapeutics has appointed William Go, M.D., Ph.D., as Chief Medical Officer, effective January 26, 2026, as the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company advances its novel immunotherapy pipeline based on proprietary Tumor Activated T Cell Engager (TRACTr) platforms. Dr. Go succeeds Zachariah McIver, D.O., Ph.D., who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
Extensive Leadership Experience in Oncology Development
Dr. Go brings more than 20 years of hematology and oncology experience, spanning early clinical development through pivotal trials, global regulatory approvals, and first-in-class launches. Most recently, he served as Chief Medical Officer at A2 Biotherapeutics (搜索), where he led development of logic-gated CAR T-cell therapies for solid tumors and initiated three Phase 1 clinical trials across multiple solid tumor indications.
His most notable achievement came during his tenure at Kite Pharma (搜索), where he led the pivotal ZUMA-1 trial supporting FDA and EMA approvals of YESCARTA®, the first CAR T-cell therapy approved for large B-cell lymphoma. Following Kite's acquisition by Gilead Sciences, he continued in senior clinical development leadership overseeing programs in large B-cell lymphoma.
Earlier in his career at Amgen, Dr. Go contributed to the global label expansion of Vectibix® and helped advance extended RAS next-generation sequencing strategies in colorectal cancer to identify predictive biomarkers.
Strategic Timing for Pipeline Advancement
The appointment comes at a critical juncture for Janux as the company scales its clinical and regulatory operations. Current Clinical Pipeline Progress
Janux recently provided updates on its ongoing Phase 1 study evaluating JANX008, its EGFR (搜索)-targeted TRACTr, in multiple solid tumor indications. The Phase 1a dose-escalation portion of the study has been completed, and the program has initiated expansion cohorts to enable further evaluation and support continued dose optimization across selected solid tumor settings.
JANX008 is being studied for treatment of multiple solid cancers including colorectal carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, non-small cell lung cancer, renal cell carcinoma, small cell lung cancer, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and triple-negative breast cancer.
The company's first clinical candidate, JANX007, targets prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA (搜索)) and is being investigated in a Phase 1 clinical trial in adult patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
Expanding Platform Technologies
Beyond its current clinical programs, Janux is advancing additional CD3 (搜索)-based TRACTr and CD28 (搜索)-based TRACIr programs for future clinical development, including a PSMA (搜索)-TRACIr for use in combination with PSMA-TRACTr JANX007, and a TROP2 (搜索)-TRACTr for treatment of TROP2+ solid tumors. The company is also advancing its first ARM platform program candidate, a CD19 (搜索)-ARM for potential treatment of autoimmune diseases toward clinical trials.
Dr. Go earned a B.A. in Biology from Carleton College and completed an M.D. and Ph.D. through the UC San Diego Medical Scientist Training Program. He completed residency training in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at UC San Diego, with tumor immunology research supported by fellowships from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine and the American Association of Cancer Institutes.
