Technology Deployment and On-Site Support
Under the strategic alliance, Siemens Healthineers (搜索) will provide multiple diagnostic imaging and therapeutic technologies to Cleveland Clinic, including magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, and X-ray. In addition, Siemens Healthineers will expand its existing team of more than 30 employees dedicated to supporting Cleveland Clinic. The on-site presence will include technicians and training personnel, including expertise to support Cleveland Clinic's development of a theranostics cancer-treatment program, an emerging approach that combines targeted imaging and therapy to personalize cancer care.
Advancing Theranostics in Cancer Care
A notable component of the alliance is the dedicated support for Cleveland Clinic's theranostics cancer-treatment program. Theranostics represents an emerging paradigm in oncology that integrates targeted diagnostic imaging with targeted therapy, enabling clinicians to visualize and treat tumors with a personalized approach. Siemens Healthineers (搜索) will contribute expertise to help Cleveland Clinic build and scale this program, positioning the health system at the forefront of precision cancer care delivery.
A Foundation of Collaborative Research
The alliance builds on a substantial history of joint achievement between the two organizations. Additional areas of collaboration include supporting the establishment of Cleveland Clinic as a Center of Excellence for MRI technologist education. This encompasses providing expertise in ongoing clinical education, protocol optimization, technologist skill development, radiation-safety education, and support for physicians in expanding the use of CT into cardiology, radiation therapy, and image-guided procedures.
The strategic alliance is also expected to create opportunities for research, education, workforce development, and a foundation for innovation in the integration of intelligent software and automation into imaging workflows.
