Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •ASA class 1(without any comorbid condition) and 2(with controlled comorbid condition) patient undergoing elective general surgeries under general anaesthesia.
- •Patient who give informed written consent.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patient unable to understand study protocol or refused to take part in it.
- •Patient of ASA class 3,4,5\.
- •Patient on beta blockers, antidepressants,anxiolytics, anticonvulsant, antipsychotic.
- •Patient with physical dependence on narcotics, known drug allergy to dexmedetomidine.
- •Patient with anticipated difficult airway or those in whom laryngoscopy time exceeded 15 seconds
