Pregnant females of age 18-40 years of American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status of class I and II undergoing lower segment caesarean section.
Patients with history of use of glucocorticoids 12hrs prior to the first planned dose and pre-existing dependence on narcotics or receiving chronic treatment with opioids and cortisol , history of drug allergy to dexamethasone or tramadol, history of Gestational Diabetes mellitus, Pregnancy induced hypertension, thyroid
disorders, anaemia, asthma, heart failure, peptic ulcer and other high-risk pregnancies
