1) Clinically stable Group A and B COPD patients (as per GOLD guidelines 2021) without any clinical evi-dence of lower respiratory tract infection.
2) Age >18 years
1) Group C and D COPD patients. (As per GOLD guide-lines 2021)
2) Pregnant females
3) Patients with Diabetes mellitus, coronary artery dis-ease, Chronic kidney disease, other chronic lung diseas-es like ILD, Bronchial asthma, Lung cancer.
3) Other Conditions which are contraindications for spi-rometry, according to American Thoracic Society guide-lines and Bicycle ergomtry like Recent MI, Recent tho-racic,abdomimal,eye surgery, Hemoptysis of unknown origin, pneumothorax
4) Patients non-compliant to the modified diet plan dur-ing the course of study even after repeated dietary coun-sellings through phone will be excluded from the study.

Name Time Method To compare the effect of carbohydrate rich diet and fat rich diet on exercise tolerance measured by dis-tance covered in 6 minutes walk test in stable COPD patients.Timepoint: At 2 weeks and at 4 weeks
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To assess the impact of carbohydrate rich diet and fat rich diet on gas exchange measured by Bicycle ergometry in terms of change in Minute ventila-tion(MV), Volume of Expired CO2 (Vco2), Volume of expired O2 (Vo2) and RQ (Respiratory Quotient)Timepoint: 4 weeks
