Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Systemically healthy patients
- •2\. Bilateral moderate or advanced periodontitis in at least one arch which required periodontal surgery as confirmed by radiographs.
- •3\. Previous history of treatment in both quadrants must be similar and the type and extent of surgical therapy indicated must be the same on both sides
- •4\. minimum of 20 teeth
- •5\. periodontal probing depth (PPD) equal to or greater than 5mm.
- •6\. Consenting patients who are co\-operative and able to come for regular follow up
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Pregnant /lactating women
- •2\. Patients on antibiotic or NSAIDs therapy in the previous six months.
- •3\. Patients who have undertaken any periodontal therapy in past 6 months
- •4\. Smokers
- •5\. Patients who are medically compromised or under therapeutic regimen that may alter the probability of tissue healing.
- •6\. Patients who are known or suspected to be allergic to curcumin.
