(1) meet diagnostic criteria of CNLBP;
(2) 18-60 years old;
(3) suffer from ongoing LBP;
(4) visual analogue scale for LBP intensity assessment is greater than 40 mm but less than 70 mm;
(5) participate voluntarily in this study and sign a written informed consent.
(1) cauda equina syndrome with bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction;
(2) spine tumours, fractures, infections, skin diseases in lumbar, or haemostatic disorder;
(3) other serious diseases such as cardiovascular disease, kidney or liver disease;
(4) with diabetes or other diseases whose skin and subcutaneous tissue have dysfunctions in absorption and renovation;
(5) cognitive impairment or serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, severe depression, which cannot cooperate with the researchers;
(6) pregnant or breastfeeding women;
(7) fear of acupuncture and have a history of severe acupuncture adverse reactions;
(8) participation in other studies related LBP treatment prior to this study within 3 months;
(9) cannot participate in regular treatment and observation as required.
