Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Between 35\-70 years old.
  • 3\. Meet the Clinical Classification Criteria for Gout arthritis made by EULAR and the standard of TCM damp\-heat syndrome differentiation;
  • 4\. The lesion involved unilateral first metatarsophalangeal joint and / or other foot joints (non\-first metatarsophalangeal joints) and / or ankle joint;
  • 5\. The acute attack was within 72 hours;
  • 6\. Patients agree to participate in this study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Allergic to non\-steroidal anti\-inflammatory drugs;
  • 2\.Patients who have a taboo on acupuncture treatment;
  • 3\.Acupuncture treatment was taken within one week before the observation;
  • 4\.Any drugs for treating acute gouty arthritis were taken within one month before the observation;
  • 5\.Patients with active gastrointestinal diseases and patients with digestive tract ulcers 30 days before this study;
  • 6\.Patients with severe diseases in cardiovascular and circulatory system,dysfunction of liver and kidney,as well as mental illness.
