diagnosed bilateral, sensorineural hearing impairment,
- supplied with CIs and/or hearing aids,
- communicating in spoken German/ child grows up in a German-speaking environment,
- regular attendance of speech therapy,
- normal non-verbal IQ, measured by the SON-R at the first time point of testing (Tellegen & Laros, 2007),
- no other developmental disorders (mental, psycho-social)
- additional developmental disorders (see above),
- nonverbal-mental IQ below 80,
- less than 24 months of contact with German

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The second testing occurs when 12 therapy sessions of 45 minutes each have taken place. The same tests as at test time 1 are performed to determine if improvement has occurred. Accordingly, the following tests will be performed:<br>- discrimination of word-final consonants (audiometric test with 26 items, Hennies et al., 2012);<br>- production of word-final consonants (naming test with 20 picture items, Penke, Rothweiler, Stollenwerk & Westerkamp, 2020);<br>- production of subject-verb agreement morphology (production experiment with 30 short film sequences, Penke et al., 2016).<br>It is to be tested, whether an improvement with respect to discrimination of final consonants, with respect to production of final consonants, and with respect to production of subject-verb agreement morphology can be observed. <br><br>
