To predict fall in blood pressure after giving general anaesthesia to patients undergoing abdominal and/or pelvic surgeries by measuring the diameter of the subclavian vein and inferior vena cava using ultrasound.

ASA I and II category patients, aged 18-60 years scheduled for
elective abdominopelvic surgeries under general anesthesia
1. Patient refusal of consent
2. Patients allergic to any study drugs
3. Patients with moderate to severe hepatic, respiratory, renal or cardiac diseases
4. Patients with ascites or abdominal masses
5. Pregnancy
6. Patients with Body mass index (BMI) > 35 kg/m2
7. Combined epidural and general anesthesia
8. Patients already hypotensive (SBP < 70 mmHg) or severely hypertensive (BP >
180/120 mmHg)
9. Patient already on mechanical ventilators
10.Patients with anticipated difficult intubation
