Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Patients having ASA (American Society of Anaesthesiologists) score 1,2 and 3\.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Patients having baseline mean arterial pressure (MAP) less than 70mmHg.
  • 2\. Presence of major vascular disease, unstable angina, valvular heart disease, heart failure or implanted pacemaker/ cardioverter.
  • 3\. Symptoms suggestive of autonomic nervous system dysfunction.
  • 4\. Portal hypertension/ Increased intra\-abdominal pressure.
  • 5\. Anticipated difficult airway.
  • 6\. Patients with anatomical/ dermatological problems which preclude placement of the US probe over the infraclavicular area on the right side.
