Patient undergoing major abdominal surgery with following
1.Age above 18 years
2.Both male and female
3.American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status 1-3
4.Undergoing major abdominal surgery (Surgery duration of more than 2 hours)
•Can give informed consent themselves
1Patient refusal
2Age < 18 years
3Patients with a history suggestive of dementia (either listed in the medical record or reported by the patient) or any neurological disorder.
4History of alcohol abuse, chronic opioid or other substance abuse
5History of cerebral surgeries, stroke
6History suggestive of psychiatric disease like schizophrenia, dementia, anxiety, or other disorder affecting cognition, mental dysfunction
7 Prescription of the central nervous system â??active medication (e.g.; antidepressants, antipsychotics, sedatives)
