Inclusion Criteria
Asthmatic children of the age group 5-12 years attending the Paediatric Medical and Pulmonology OPD and admitted in the Medical and Pulmonology wards
Exclusion Criteria
Children with
-acute exacerbation of asthma
-active respiratory tract infection or any other infection within the past month
--systemic inflammatory diseases (such as collagen vascular diseases)
-chronic underlying disorders (such as cardiac, pulmonary and renal diseases)
