Participants consisted of adult males aged 19 and above, who had undergone comprehensive sleep assessments for sleep-related breathing disorders and CPAP titration at Ajou University Hospital. These individuals were in good health without significant conditions such as liver disease, and they had a habitual alcohol consumption pattern of 1.0 gram or more of alcohol per 1 kilogram of body weight
Participants who experienced alcohol-related facial flush, known as Asian flush, or had conditions including liver disease, malignant tumors, severe cardiovascular disease, disorders affecting alcohol metabolism, and sleep-related hypoventilation were excluded from the study
