1.Patients undergoing elective surgeries requiring general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation.
2.ASA 1 and 2 patients.
3.Patients aged 20-50 years of both sexes.
4.Patients having modified Mallampatti grade 1 and 2 score.
1.Emergency surgeries.
2.ASA Grade 3 and 4 patients.
3.Patients with age less than 20 years and more than 50 years.
4.Patients with anticipated difficult airway.
5.Patient requiring more than 1 attempt for intubation or requiring additional assistance like external laryngeal manipulation, use of stylet, bougie etc.
6.Known history of allergy / sensitivity reaction to clonidine or gabapentin.
7.Patients with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, patient on beta blockers, anti convulsant or anti-psychotics.
8.Patients with history of-
i.Cerebrovascular disease
ii.Neurological disease
iii.Respiratory disease
iv.Ischemic heart disease
v.Renal disease and Hepatic dysfunction.
