For the prospective study part: Treatment at the Vitos Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Gießen and Marburg (Vitos Clinical Centre Giessen-Marburg) as inpatient, partial inpateint or outpatient, age > 50 years, ability to consent at the initial examination, indication for diagnostic examination,referral by a medical specialist. For the retrospective study part: referral of a patient to memory clinic by a medical specialist in the time between August 2013 and June 2015.
For the prospective study part: lack of ability to consent at the initial examination, diagnosed dementia with a duration of > 2 years. For the retrospective study part: no exclusion criteria.

Name Time Method Longitudinal deterioration of cognition as assessed by changes of the Clinical Dementia Rating Scale (= 0,5 points) from the first time of measurement (initial examination in our memory clinic) to the follow up assessments after 6, 12, 18 and 24 months.
