Baseline Criteria: All patients who suffer an out-of-hospital cardiovascular arrest and are dispatched to both RTW, NEF, and MIC will be included.
The following criteria for inclusion must be met:
- Over 18 years of age
- Advanced Life Support measures performed
- Expected duration of resuscitation >10 minutes.
- Pregnant women
- Prisoners
- Traumatic cardiovascular arrest
- Known esophageal varices
- Known esophageal surgery
- Fulminant hematemesis prior to resuscitation or other evidence of gastrointestinal bleeding
- DNR/AND status
