Effects of perioperative administration of synthetic steroid on glycometabolism and insulin resistance
- Conditions
- disorders in oral surgery field
- Registration Number
- JPRN-jRCTs072180082
- Lead Sponsor
- Tsukamoto Masanori
- Brief Summary
We decided to investigate whether a single dose of synthetic steroids at the time of induction of anesthesia may affect glucose metabolism homeostasis and increase postoperative insulin resistance. However, most of the cases of dental and oral surgery were hospitalized the day before, and even though I explained it to the outpatient department before admission, I could not obtain consent, and I thought it would be difficult to continue the research in the future, so I decided to discontinue or terminate.
