1.Diagnosis of Bipolar disorder (I or II) using DSM-IV criteria.
2.Score of 19 or less on the BDI-II
3.Score of 8 or less on the Young Mania Rating Scale
4.Those who have a working knowledge of English/Hindi/Kannada/Malayalam.
5.At least one mood episode in the last 5 years
6.On pharmacological treatment.
1.Patients with the history of rapid cycling mood disorder (�4 episodes/year)
2.Presence of psychotic symptoms.
3. Comorbid diagnosis of substance dependence (except nicotine dependence)
4.Other Axis-I disorder such as schizophrenia, psychosis NOS & Delusional disorder.
5.Diagnosis of mental retardation.
6.Diagnosis of organic mood disorder as made by the treating psychiatrist.
7.Having received structured psychotherapeutic intervention in the past 6 months
8.History of more than 12 mood episodes in the past.
9.Those who received ECT or who were discharged in the preceding month.
