Inclusion Criteria
1. Patients willing to participate and sign the informed consent form
2.Age-18 years to 60 years
3. ASA 1 and 2 patients
4. Both sexes
5. Patients posted for wide local excision of unilateral tongue cancer lesions with or without neck dissection.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Patient not consenting to study.
2. Extensive lesions requiring near total or total glossectomy or requiring incision on posterior 1/3rd of tongue.
3. Patients with known allergy to lignocaine.
4. Pregnant patients.
5. Mentally challenged patients unable to understand and give informed risk consent.
