Adult (>=18 years) patients scheduled for colonoscopy will be recruited from the outpatient department of gastroenterology, Andhra medical college, Visakhapatnam.
1. Known or suspected bowel obstruction or
perforation
2. Acute exacerbation of inflammatory bowel
disease
3. Toxic megacolon
4. History of colorectal resection
5. Compromised swallowing reflex or mental status
6. Significant gastroparesis or gastric outlet
obstruction
7. Severe congestive heart failure (NYHA III/IV),
recent acute MI or unstable angina (within 8
weeks)
8. Severe chronic renal failure (creatinine
clearance <30 ml/min/1.73 m2)
9. Pregnancy or lactation
10.H/O of hypersensitivity to any bowel cleansing
agent
11.Chronic constipation ( < 3 bowel movements a
week with or without laxative)
