Participants are children between 8 and 17 years old with principal SAD who have been referred to mental health services and who currently do not receive active treatment for social anxiety (e.g., are on the regular waiting list for treatment).
Youths are excluded from participation in case of current suicidality, psychosis, domestic violence, or comorbid PTSD or partial PTSD after exposure to traumatic event(s). Other comorbid disorders such as other anxiety disorders, depression, ASD and AD(H)D are not exclusion criteria, nor are previous treatments.
