Evaluation of perflubutane with ultrasound-guided nerve block

Phase 1
Conditions
Patients undergoing nerve block during surgery and at pain clinic
Registration Number
JPRN-jRCTs021200011
Lead Sponsor
Onishi Eiko
Brief Summary

We demonstrated that 100-fold diluted perflubute allowed clear, real-time, and continuous visualization of local anesthetic spread in ultrasound images in RSB and PVB. However, in a deeper block such as Epi, perfluobutane could not show contrast enhancement. Further investigation is needed in the future.
