入排标准

入选标准

  • 1.Patients with ASA physical status grade I to IV aged above 18 years.
  • 2.Patients Scheduled to undergo elective surgery under general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation and need a nasogastric tube as a usual course of management.
  • 3.A patient whose trachea is intubated under chemical paralysis, needing a nasogastric tube placement.

排除标准

  • 1.Presence of nasal mass, nasal stenosis
  • 2.History of corrosive poisoning
  • 3.Uncontrolled bleeding diathesis
  • 4.Recent radiotherapy to head and neck
  • 5.Presence of cleft lip or palate
  • 6.Significant deviated nasal septum
  • 7.Esophageal stricture and varices
  • 8.Base of skull fracture
  • 9.A patient who will not require X-ray in their usual course of management.
  • 10.Pregnant and lactating mother.
  • 11.Patients not willing to participate in the study.
