1. Patients of any gender.
2. Patients aged 18 yrs to 50 years.
3. Patients undergoing extraction of permanent maxillary and mandibular teeth.
4. Extractions requiring minimal instrumentation.
5. Patients willing to participate with written consent.
1. Patients undergoing traumatic/complicated extraction.
2. Patients undergoing extraction of deciduous teeth.
3.Patients undergoing extraction of impacted 3rd molars.
4. Patients with debilitating systemic diseases.
5. Patients undergoing extraction of endodontically treated teeth.
6. Patients currently taking NSAIDS/ Antibiotics at the time of extraction or had medicines less than 3 days prior to extraction.
7. Patients with habits which are known to be detrimental to oral health such as smoking, pan, tobacco chewing etc.
8. Patients presenting with acute abscess/draining sinus.
9. Pregnancy.
