简要总结
Pronation distortion syndrome is a common lower extremity postural distortion pattern that can lead to other movement dysfunction patterns throughout the kinetic and ultimately injury. By incorporating static and dynamic assessments of the foot and ankle complex can help to identify this distortion pattern. Approximately 10 to 25% of adults bears pronation distortion syndrome. When there is hip dysfunction (e.g., weakness in the abductors, such as the gluteus Medius), the femur may begin to rotate and adduct, eventually leading to foot pronation. Both are cases of PDS, but each has a different origin of dysfunction.
The objective of the study will be to determine the effect of NASM exercises on balance, posture and proprioception in patients with pronation distortion syndrome. A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial Study will be conducted at Arif memorial Teaching hospital Lahore. Fifty-six patients of age between 20 to 40 years with pronation distortion syndrome were randomized into 2 groups. Group A received routine exercises. For both groups, the initial intervention involved applying self-myofascial release and static stretching for 5 mints. All the participants underwent three sessions per week for 4 weeks.

研究组 & 干预措施
Control group
干预措施: Routine exercises (static stretching of hamstrings, gastrocnemius, soleus, IT band) (Other)
Interventional Group
干预措施: NASM exercises (Other)
结局指标
主要结局
Navicular bone drop
时间窗: Pre and Post 4 weeks intervention
Navicular Drop Test measures the decrease in navicular height from sitting to standing. It assesses foot pronation and sagittal midfoot mobility.
Hind foot Valgum
时间窗: Pre and Post 4 weeks intervention
Hindfoot valgus is measured by assessing the angle between the heel and lower-leg midlines using a goniometer. Measurements are taken lying prone and standing to assess foot pronation, with \>9° indicating overpronation.
Balance
时间窗: Pre and 4 week Post week
A simple and useful clinical test for assessing dynamic balance. The participant stands upright and reaches forward as far as possible without stepping; the maximum reach distance is measured in centimeters.
Ankle Proprioception
时间窗: Pre and 4 week Post intervention
Ankle Joint Position Sense Test: A simple clinical test used to assess ankle proprioception. The participant's ankle is passively moved to a target position and returned; the participant then actively reproduces the position, and the repositioning error (°) is measured with a goniometer.
