Inclusion Criteria
Age between 60 and 75 years; physically inactive for at least 6 months; medical diagnosis of hypertension; using antihypertensive medication; no previous history of severe cardiovascular disease or cardiovascular events; no osteomioarticular lesions that limit the ability to exercise; without estrogen replacement therapy
Exclusion Criteria
Smoker; diagnosis of diabetes

Name Time Method Assess ambulatory blood pressure 24 hours, verified by the ambulatory blood pressure device, which was programmed to measure blood pressure every 15 minutes during awakening and every 30 minutes during sleep, based on the observation of a minimum of 16 and 8 blood pressure measurements during waking and sleeping periods, respectively
